Mirai

"Mirai" is a world building project of mine that has been going on since 2018 and may or may not become a book/comic someday. It is set in a world similar to ours, except it is filled with people possessing supernatural abilities dubbed "splinters". An Instagram guide to some important posts can be found here.

Characters

Shiro Kurosawa: The first main character of the story. Grew up in the "Splinters of God" cult and ended up working for Murakami to pay off his parents' debts. Can stop time for ten minutes, but has to recharge for ten minutes afterwards.

Partycrasher: The other main character of the story. Grew up with Murakami after Isamu found him wandering the streets at night and eating out of a garbage can. Cannot die from injuries, somehow always comes back.

Yuu Murakami: The antagonist of the story. Took over his late father's shady business, something he was groomed for ever since he was adopted abroad. Can create sharp, bone-like blades from his body.

Isamu Yamamoto: Murakami's closest friend, ally and somewhat of a big brother figure, has worked for his father for years before his passing. Can change the area above his collarbones into anything organic, including people's faces, animals and fantastical creatures.

Eiko: Murakami's other closest ally after he saved her from serving jail time. Part time medic, part time strategist. Can predict which actions to take to achieve the best case scenario in a situation. Can also move her eyes (and see) in different directions like a chameleon.

Hitomi Takeda: Shiro's best friend after he escapes Murakami. Entered the PURPOSE program to help improve how her fellow "beast types" are treated in Mirai City.

Hufweticaya Clan

My first Avatar fan clan. A tribe of purple-ish Na'vi living on a huge cluster of floating mountains bound together by gigantic roots and vines.

Syorkilvan Clan

The green "cousins" of the Metkayina and other reef Na'vi living in a mangrove-like environment with huge trees and muddy rivers. Check out the webpage I made for them!

Sämyam

Hufweticaya Na'vi

A young woman who takes her role as warrior and protector of the Hufweticaya clan's peace extremely seriously. Despises sky people and all their demonic creations and will kill on sight.

Mawkrr

Son of a Recom & Na'vi

As the son of a male recom and female Omatikaya na'vi, Mawkrr never felt like he really fit in anywhere. He feels no connection to Eywa and cannot use his queue properly. He started hanging out with Avatar scientists as a kid and never ended up connecting to his people.

Karuk

P'n'p spy unit

Spy unit who is supposed to murder the clan's leadership and as many Na'vi as possible as soon as he gets the order to do so.

Reyki

P'n'p spy unit

Spy unit who is supposed to serve as backup in case Karuk can't get the job done.

Tiger/Tayga

Omatikaya Na'vi

"Found" in the forest and "rescued" by the RDA as a child, raised among the soldiers and told all her life that the "wild" Na'vi outside the base are evil and coming to kill her. Is left behind on Pandora after the ending of the first movie and discovered by the Na'vi.

Taronyu

Metkayina Na'vi

The older of two Metkayina brothers just chilling and living life. Perhaps one of them dies to further the other one's character development.

Tawngyu

Metkayina Na'vi

The younger of two Metkayina brothers just chilling and living life. Perhaps one of them dies to further the other one's character development.
